You blow me away

I came across a linky party for "The Alley Way Stamps" and thought I would join in. I whipped this up pretty quick. After seeing the retro sketch I knew what I wanted to do. I don't own any copics so I used watercolor pencils. I don't even own alot of them really. I fussy cut the stamps (I wore my glasses so I could see them ha ha). I popped my blow fish up to give some more dimension.  I cut the polaroid (which I am loving polaroid stuff) on my cameo along with the Easel card base and layers. I will have all the details below of where the files came from.

More Wine Please

Today I made a little project for a friend. I plan to find another shadowbox or deep frame to put it in and send it to her. I made the file using the drawing tools in Silhouette based on a pic I seen online. I like the way it turned out. It wasn't the easiest thing to try to make a file of but I am happy the way it turned out. My pictures aren't the best and I would say I would take them over but I would be lying!!

I suck at trying to take a picture of something 12 x 12 it is just too frustration to me. Maybe once I find a large format printer it would have a scanner so I could scan them in. It was a fun project to do though!

I want some Sketti please!

I am so excited to show this project!! It just popped into my head one night that I wanted to make a shadowbox for my kitchen. I love these fat chefs (I can relate to the big guys....ahemm.....me likey to eat!)

I created this chef myself in Silhouette Design Studio....I love this program! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I used the Timeless Twine's "Natural" colored twine for my "Sketti" and then I knotted up the "Cherry Red" to make some-a-meat aballs!! I put a couple strings of speghetti and balls on the page to add a little to the page. I used some really nice Momenta Metals in the corner.

I used a checkered pattern from the Silhouette Studio since I didn't have any checkered paper. I had some really cute spoon, fork and knives charms so I added them to the "Bob's kitchen" tag.

I put Bob's kitchen on the tag as a joke because everything I make I show my hubby and I always say do you think Its ok, do you think I should add something and he always says well you could put "BOB" something or other on it here or there so to make him feel good before I showed it to him I put that tag on it.

He was quite happy. Its the little things right! ha ha he is a character. I can't wait to make something to add his fishing pictures to. While we were on vacation he took up fishing and he had a lot of fun. I am not saying that the vodka cranberry cocktails he had didn't enhance the adventure but it was so fun to watch him and he always does goofy poses for me as I am snapping his pic. Quite the ham he is.

I purchased this shadowbox (well it was a tshirt display thinga doohickey) it was $9.99 but I had a 40% off coupon but when I got to the checkout it rang up $4.99 so then with 40% off it was a deal right!

I curled my twine as I had told you how to do in a previous post. These probably aren't the best photos its really hard to photograph something with glass on it. I took the first one before i put it in the box.

Owl-ways Friends

Ok I know i know I have been on a owl kick lately but hey I can't help it they are just too cute! I made one for a friends birthday and now this is for another sweet friend. I have got to get all this mailed off! Thankfully I live right by the post office so its pretty convenient.

This one I used papers from Teresa Collins "Fabrications" 6x6 pad. I think some my minds eye is in there and some Tim Holtz Distress Coredinations paper. The base again I used a modified SVGcuts file.

I got the cutest project I am going to be doing for one of my upcoming Timeless Twine projects so stayed tuned for that. I also have a great Home Decor project posting tomorrow for Timeless Twine so don't miss it!!

My Craft Room

I thought I would share some photos of my craft room. I just cleaned it up and you can see I forgot to take the windex off the desk!!

I had some items on my black cabinet by the TV that I normally wouldn't have there either but its a stash of items I have to mail out so I didn't bother putting them away. I love this room but seems I won't have this one long since we will be moving soon AGAIN! I am hoping at least maybe this one will be a permanent one. We plan to go back and forth to Florida since we are retired and we don't like cold weather so we plan to find a smaller place here and also one there. Lord knows I HATE moving but I still wish we never moved back here but my family is all here and my father is still not doing so well.

My only daughter is here so it makes it tough when I am 1000 miles away from her. Man you just can't have it both ways can you. Well you can and I did but it means a lot of traveling which I did a lot of but I don't want to be 1000 miles away when something happens to my father. Please say a prayer for him. He has suffered two heart attacks and small strokes and a triple bypass and he just got out of the hospital again after being rushed by ambulance. I need to be where I can take care of him.

Ok so here is my little place where I try to destress! I have two closets in this room as well I know I didn't get it in the picture!

I am going to buy a lot of Ikea stuff when I get my next room. Expedit furniture for maximum storage. The rolling aqua cart I blogged about before. All my cricut stuff is in the closets. Here is a quick pic of those! Well I do have some carts on one of my embellishment centers also. The rest are in the closet. All three machines boxed up because for one I wasn't using them, another MOVING! :(

Beach bags and then containers on the floor with finished projects. There is no shelves in this closet so everything just gets stacked. 

Here is my new sewing machine never taken out of the box (I have had it for 1.5 years) I am skeered of it! Cricut imagine, expression and mini. The E2 was sold. My cinch and a few other goodies!

WHOO missed your birthday?

I whipped up this cute little owl trifold card to send to a friend. I used SVG cuts "Street Carnival" kit to cut the base and layers. I modified the top so it would just be straight all the way across. I used the cutest owl (its the same owl from the card I just posted yesterday) and cut him multiple times in different colors. The owl is a Lori Whitlock file. I purchased the cute little sign from the silhouette store as well. The wooden word bubbles are Studio Calico I just got them. I sure hope she likes the card!! 

It takes me so much time to pick out paper and then I am usually unhappy with it. This time I placed different papers before committing and it helped. I got rid of alot of paper cause I just got sick of looking at it all the time, going through it never wanting to use it and now I probably could have used some of it. Oh well....

I popped alot of the owls and the sign to give some dimension. Used my favorite Twine from Timeless Twine the Aqua. 

***PS Janet I use Glossy accents to adhere my twine and also on most of my paper piecings. I have a special little bottle I put it in with a fine point! Its awesome!

Whoo you talking too?

I wanted to make a quick card today and I love owls. I got inspiration off Pinterest (who doesn't love that site) and decided to make this!!

I used an owl from the silhouette store. Its eyes are popped up and then I popped the owl itself up to give it dimension. I used some Timeless Twine Chocolate Chip & Lemonade twine to just give it a little extra something something!!

I like how it turned out. The papers are all from "My Minds Eye" fine and dandy boy paper stack. I loved the colors and of course the little owls on the one accent paper!

I took a shape in the silhouette studio and then cut the circle out so that I could just have the scallop trim around the circle cutout.
